About Caledonia Solar

We serve the mid-market commercial and industrial segment - businesses operating systems from 50kWp and above. Logistics operators, food producers, manufacturers, retail warehouse operators and commercial property owners. Businesses where the energy cost case for solar is clear, but the commercial, technical and funding complexity has historically been a barrier.

Caledonia Solar removes that barrier. We bring together commercial assessment, grid-connection expertise, funding structuring and project coordination into a single managed process. Our clients make one decision. We handle everything that follows.

Most commercial solar projects are funded through one of three principal routes: outright capital purchase, asset finance, or a fully funded Power Purchase Agreement with no upfront cost to the business. Each route suits a different balance sheet position, tax profile and appetite for long-term contractual commitment.

Caledonia Solar maintains relationships across a broad panel of funding counterparties covering all three routes. We assess the right structure for each client's specific position, introduce the appropriate funding counterparty, and coordinate the process through to financial close. The funding conversation starts with us and stays with us.

Caledonia Solar is developing a proprietary AI-driven opportunity intelligence system designed specifically for the Scottish and UK commercial solar market. The platform aggregates building data, energy consumption profiles, grid capacity information and structural suitability indicators - identifying and scoring commercial solar opportunities before a sales conversation takes place.

The practical effect is directional precision. Our commercial team directs effort toward sites with stronger indicators of structural viability, commercial motivation and grid capacity. That improves the quality of every initial project assessment and reduces time spent on opportunities that will not convert.

The platform is in active development. Over time it will allow Caledonia Solar to assess more opportunities consistently, improve project prioritisation and extend our origination capability across the UK.

Our primary geography is Scotland, with an initial concentration across the Central Belt, Greater Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Lothians, Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Ayrshire, Fife, Forth Valley and the Scottish Borders.

We also assess larger commercial and industrial opportunities elsewhere in Scotland and across the wider UK.
